Lived spirituality encompasses a vast, multiform experiential area. It includes not only well-known schools of spirituality but also less explicit forms of primordial spirituality, not to mention many idiosyncratic figures.

Research is needed to find and describe the dynamics of divine-human encounter below the surface of this multiform phenomenon.

Publications make this research into spirituality accessible and open to debate. The publications (co-)produced by the Titus Brandsma Institute concern both the past and the present.

  • Studies that make the past accessible include text publications, tr ans lations, commentaries, form descriptions, appropriation models and processes, and the like.
  • Studies of the present concern contemporary spiritual insights and experiences.

The Titus Brandsma Institute and its staff are involved in publications in various capacities:

  • as (co-)publisher directly in charge,
  • as editors of a series,
  • by sitting on the editorial boards of journals.
