Fiery Arrow

The Fiery arrow series comprises publications aimed at introducing readers to the legacy of great spiritual teachers from the distant and recent past. The linguistic and conceptual frameworks they present can deepen the reader's understanding of spiritual life. The treasures of the spiritual tradition, which represents a true 'school of love', are made accessible to everyone wishing to be touched by the fire of divine love.

In AD 1230 Nicholas the Frenchman, General of the Carmelite order, wrote a letter to his brethren entitled Fiery arrow . He asked them to remember the inspiration that had initially consumed them in silence and solitude because of the inexorable demand of the One.

The Fiery arrow series forms part of this Carmelite tradition. It seeks to share that variegated tradition with everyone who is searching for inner life and the fire of love.

The series is based on scientific research and is aimed at a broad public of people interested in spirituality.

It is edited by Hein Blommestijn and Jos Huls of the Titus Brandsma Institute.
