Since its establishment in 1923 Nijmegen University has provided academic tuition in the field of spirituality and mysticism.
Initially its teaching activities were located in the Faculty of Philosophy and, later on, in the Faculty of Arts.
In the 1970s the chair of Spirituality was transferred to the Faculty of Theology.
Currently spirituality and mysticism feature in three master's curricula in the theological faculty. The Titus Brandsma Institute participates in this instruction.

- Spiritual direction in the Pastoral Studies master's course
- Graduate option in the Graduate School of Theology.
The chair of Spirituality also has a teaching commitment in the Faculty of Arts. |
