SURF rates SPINE project a success

14 December 2004

At a meeting of SURF's project monitoring committee this morning the conclusions of the SPINE project review committee were discussed, adopted and ratified as a resolution:

•  The switch from a product-oriented to a process-oriented approach has had a positive effect.

•  The bulk of the agreed deliverables has been delivered.

•  Considerable effort has been put into the drive to find overseas partners.

•  The review committee is positive about the input to ensure the free dissemination of substantively well documented lessons.

•  Didactic innovation is particularly important in this discipline.

•  The review committee concluded that this was not just the completion of a project but actually the start of a change process and that favourable conditions have been achieved for its continuation.

The committee advised SURF's board to approve the final results and reimburse the requested subsidy.
