During the previous research period substantive and methodological insights that characterise the Titus Brandsma Institute's research were developed by way of detailed studies. They are provisionally synthesised in the handbook Spiritualiteit . This primer explains and substantiates the Institute's research paradigm.
In the next research period some aspects of the paradigm will be studied and developed. Particular attention will be paid to the category of 'lay spirituality' (with a view to research into contemporary spirituality), the interdisciplinary combination of the four research methods, mystagogics as a factor in education in spirituality, and the development of a scientific forum for the study of spirituality.
The plans are set out in a scientific plan that has been approved by management.
