Spirituality and Religious Life

From its foundation, the Titus Brandsma Institute has paid special attention to the spirituality of religious life. We are continuing this research in the Spirituality and Religious Life research line.

We investigate not only the history of religious life, but also the contemporary lived forms of religious life; the spirituality of recognized religious and inspired laymen.

We do research into:

• History of religious life. Texts from the Christian mystical tradition. They are studied and made accessible.
• Contemporary religious life: Spirituality of orders and congregations; each with their own history, method of imitation of Christ, inspiration, designs and developments.
